Travel Planning Tools

Four tools that answer the questions that actually come up before a trip: what's the weather, what should I pack, will it fit, and does my airline allow it. Each one feeds into the next.

How the tools work together

Each tool is useful on its own, but they're designed to chain together into a complete packing workflow. Start anywhere — or follow the full flow.

Start with the climate. Pick your destination and travel month in the What to Wear tool. It shows you average temperatures, rainfall, and what clothing layers you'll need. When you're ready, hit "Build a packing list for this trip" — and your destination and climate data pass directly into the next tool.

Build the list. The Packing List Generator uses your climate data plus trip length, travel style, and laundry access to create a categorized packing list with specific quantities and fabric recommendations. Total weight and packed volume are calculated automatically.

Check the fit. Click "Check if this fits in a carry-on" and your entire packing list transfers to the Carry-On Volume Calculator. Select your bag, and a real-time meter shows whether everything fits. If you're over capacity, the tool suggests lighter swaps.

Verify the airline. Once your bag is packed, use the Airline Size Checker to confirm your bag meets size and weight limits for every airline on your itinerary. We rate enforcement as strict, moderate, or relaxed so you know what to expect.
